In true Georgian style, towering over the the modern shops is 200 feet of the Sir Walter Scott Monument, circa 1846. Visitors looking for a tremendous view of the Edinburgh skyline are invited to tackle the 287 steps for the pleasure.

***GUESTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OF AGE Must stay in a private room with guardians they can not share in general dormitory rooms with persons that are not part of their own group or family. Under 18s are not allowed in the bars or pubs after end of food service
*** Smoking is now illegal in all public places, thus the hostel and pub are 100% non-smoking.
