From our start point by THE CASTLE we head out of the city to he charming village of ROSLIN; site of ROSSLYN CHAPEL (its worldwide fame further increased thanks to THE DA VINCI CODE, Dan Brown's blockbusting novel), the mystical and mysterious ROSSLYN GLEN, the ancient castle of the same name, ancestral home of the SINCLAIRS, and nearby battlefield where a tiny Scots army defeated three 10,000-man English armies in the same day!
Leaving ROSSLYN we pass TEMPLE village, once the home of the KNIGHTS TEMPLAR in Scotland, whilst in the afternoon, after lunch in the charming village of GIFFORD, we visit GLENKINCHIE distillery - a rarity, a Lowland Malt Distillery - for a 'TOUR & A TASTE' before journey's end back in EDINBURGH.
